On one of the saddest days of our lives, the family lost the lovely, gentle and sensitive Jake. He lived to be just shy of fourteen years old and enjoyed the woods of Beaconsfield and the forests of Norfolk. From swimming in the Thames at Clivedon to running the sandy dunes at Holcombe in Norfolk he filled our lives with his love and loyalty. He taught us so many lessons. Age finally caught up with him, as it does all of us, and his limbs began to fail him. He left this world peacefully in our arms and now rests in a haven behind our summer house, underneath a silver birch tree. He has not left us; his heart will always be with us. Sleep well my son.
